Paste this into your AI.

It downloads Talos Engine, checks the installer, signs you in, and opens your first project with your assistant connected.

Early access is invite-only. We let people in a small group at a time. Apply for an invite. Invited? Paste the prompt below into your AI and sign in when it asks, with GitHub or an email code, using the address your invite went to.

Prompt
Install Talos Engine on this Windows PC and set me up to build a game with you. Use PowerShell.

1. Check this is Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. If not, stop and tell me.
2. If %LOCALAPPDATA%\Argus\launcher\argus-hub.exe already exists, skip to step 5.
3. Read https://downloads.talosengine.ai/launcher/latest.json. It names the installer (msi) and its SHA-256 (sha256). Download https://downloads.talosengine.ai/ followed by that msi path into my Downloads folder. Compare the file's Get-FileHash SHA256 with sha256, ignoring upper and lower case. If they differ, delete the file and stop.
4. Install it: Start-Process msiexec -ArgumentList '/i "<the file>" /qn' -Wait -PassThru. The ExitCode must be 0 (3010 also means installed, with a restart due later). No admin rights are needed.
5. Sign me in: run %LOCALAPPDATA%\Argus\launcher\argus-hub.exe --login. As soon as it prints a code and an address, show them to me. Keep it running (in the background if you must) until it says I am signed in; it waits up to 15 minutes while I approve in my browser. If it does not end signed in, stop and tell me.
6. Install the engine: --install --json. It prints the engine folder, or upToDate if the engine is already there.
7. Make my first project: --install-sample kart-starter --json. It prints the project folder as dir. If it fails because the sample needs another engine version, run --install <that version> --json and try again. Then run --connect-ai "<that folder>". If you are Cursor, also copy the project's .mcp.json to .cursor\mcp.json.
8. Tell me the project folder and how to start you there so the Talos Engine tools load (Claude Code asks once to approve them). Then suggest a first change we can make together.

Ask me before doing anything else on this PC.

For Claude Code, Cursor, or any assistant that can run commands on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Free during the beta, under the Beta tester terms. Rather click through it yourself? Read the install guide.
