# LightShadowTint

> Talos next · Since next

A directional light's shadow tint: the share of the sun, in a colour of its own, that a surface in its shadow still receives, so shadows lift to a cool shade instead of going black.

Standard renderer only; HD ignores it.

## Fields

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Allowed values | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| `color` | `string` | yes | | | Hex colour "#RGB" or "#RRGGBB" of the light a shadowed surface still gets, e.g. a cool "#5B7FA6". |
| `strength` | `number` | yes | | | 0..1: the share of the sun's light, in `color`, that a fully shadowed surface receives. 0 is no tint (today's black shadow); 0.45 lifts a dark road to a visible cool shade. |
