# light-directional-horizontal

> Talos next · Since 0.7

Every directional light in the scene lies within 5 degrees of the horizon (none points further down). A light travels along its local -Z, so an identity rotation is level: floors and ground get only sky light and look flat and washed out. Fix: tilt the light 30-60 degrees down (e.g. `"rotation": [-0.4769, 0.2086, 0, 0.8538]`, about 55 degrees), or set `meta.environment.sky.sunFromSky`. Silent outside a project, when `sunFromSky` is true, and for lights of zero intensity. Warning: see SEVERITY.
