# camera-fov-overrides-scene

> Talos 0.7 · Since 0.6

a script's `ctx.camera.set(kind, { fov })` differs from the scene camera's `fov`, so the view is drawn at the script's number and the scene's is never seen; said once until `ctx.camera.follow(null)`, with the scene camera as the `entity`

## Meaning

a script's `ctx.camera.set(kind, { fov })` differs from the scene camera's `fov`, so the view is drawn at the script's number and the scene's is never seen; said once until `ctx.camera.follow(null)`, with the scene camera as the `entity`

## Fix

leave `fov` out of the first-person rig's config (it then inherits the scene camera's), give the scene camera the rig's number (third-person 60, orbit 45, fixed 55 by default), or give both the same number; a deliberate zoom can ignore it
